GO! Resolutions=bad/Vision Board=good

January 1, 2011

(Life Board circa 2005)

Years ago, I made New Year’s Resolutions.

I, like most people, failed miserably at keeping the resolutions.

…and why do we wait until January 1 to commit to changes in our lives?

Resolutions are usually lists of goals and steps to get to those goals.

I’m a big believer in the Law of Attraction.

In a nutshell, Law of Attraction is a universal law that says that if you put a wish ‘out there’ and assume that the wish will be granted, it will.  Basically, if you put your life, your wants, your needs, your desires into the hands of the universe/God/source/wherever you think you ‘came from’, you will manifest what you are thinking.

If you think you will have a successful business, make a certain amount of money, learn a certain skill, finish a project, or attain an ability, and you are CERTAIN that these things WILL be yours, they will become yours.

Unfortunately, the opposite is also true.  If you are a negative person, you obsess about bad things in your life, or if you assume that something won’t work out for you, the Law of Attraction will bring these things to you, too.

One way to maintain the positive attitude that is required and to keep your wants and desires in the forefront of your mind is to make a Vision Board.

So, I challenge you – not to make a list of New Year’s Resolutions – but to make a Vision  Board.

Cut out pictures of things you want to start attracting this year.  Is it a new job?  Car?  A clean play room?  A class you’ve always wanted to take?

Don’t make a list of steps to acquire any of these things; just  cut out pictures, or write something down on a piece of paper.  Paste, tape,  or tack everything down to 1 piece of paper or a foam board.  Be sure to put a picture of yourself on your board – put it right in the middle.  Put your Vision Board somewhere that you will see it often… on your desk, in your kitchen, behind your sink in the bathroom, anywhere that you will see it daily.

Here’s the START of mine…..

Heather, You are so awesome! Put that on your board. 🙂 My only addition is that I’m driven by emotional results often. To attract more happiness, I just clip things that make me happy. I have no idea why they make me happy, they just do! When I see you in person remind me to share my thoughts on prophecy vs. laws of attraction. 🙂 Happy New Year!
